Welcome to the 'Garnier Commits To Greener Beauty' campaign, a collaborative effort with Her Campus Media. This campaign was not just a promotional event, but a transformative initiative to make the cosmetic industry more sustainable. Learn more about Garnier’s commitment to Greener Beauty here.
To promote Garnier's commitment to greener, cruelty-free, and vegan beauty, I organized and hosted a sustainability-focused volunteering initiative in the campus garden. This provided a unique opportunity for the UC Berkeley chapter of Her Campus to give back to the Berkeley community.
As part of the campaign, my team was tasked with distributing 500 Garnier product samples to students on campus, all while educating them about Garnier's commitment to Greener Beauty. These samples included Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Original + Waterproof Makeup Remover, Micellar Cleansing Reusable Eco Pads, and Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. We employed various innovative distribution methods, such as setting up a table in high-traffic campus locations, handing out goodies during our meetings, and partnering with beauty-focused student organizations.
We also utilized Instagram's carousel feature to post images from the event and shared Instagram Stories that captured attendees "in action" while wearing Garnier merchandise. The strategic integration of hashtags - #OneGreenStep, #HCxGarnier, and #GiftedByGarnier, coupled with copyright-free music in accordance with project guidelines, led to an impressive surge in brand visibility among our followers and beyond. This effort garnered over 3000+ impressions on Instagram.

Looking back on Garnier's Greener Beauty campaign, I'm really thankful. We didn't just talk about greener beauty, we also encouraged everyone to take better care of our planet. We created impactful content, driving consumer awareness and engagement.
